Bored piers
After boring and steel placement, before any concrete
Pier depth and diameter against the engineering, cage placement and cover, clean bases free of water and spoil
Learn more about the bored piers inspection →Hume approves a lot of volume housing and the programs are tight. We attend at each point where work is about to be covered, measure it against your engineering, and hand you something the site supervisor can act on that day.
The most serious things our inspectors find in Mickleham are structural and they are all found at slab or frame: bracing missing from the plans, slabs out of level, trusses landing on walls not built to carry them.

Slab and frame. Every major structural item our inspectors have recorded in Mickleham came from one of those two, because that is where the load path is set.
Our inspectors work visually and by hand only. We do not energise or test electrical work, pressure test plumbing, carry out destructive investigation, certify engineering or sample soil. Those sit with the licensed trades, the engineer and your building surveyor.
Usually. Tell us as soon as your supervisor confirms the date, because these move constantly.
